Trip to the Linda Hall Library at UMKC

Friday, March 29, 1-4 p.m. - Meet in Regnier Center Atrium

The Linda Hall Library is one of the world’s foremost independent research libraries devoted to Science, Engineering and Technology. The Library maintains a collection of rare books of scientific and technological importance. This guided field trip will feature a behind the scenes look at some of the most rare and historical books.

Campus as a Learning Lab: JCCC Open Petal Farm & Sustainability

Friday, March 29, 3:30-5 p.m. - Meet in Regnier Center Atrium

Participants will tour JCCC’s Open Petal Farm, home of the college’s Sustainable Agriculture program. Next, the tour visits the college’s in-vessel composting operation. Returning to the main campus, a tour of Galileo’s Pavilion, a LEED Platinum building with living walls is next, followed by a tour of the most biodiverse spot on campus: JCCC’s Green Infrastructure Storm Water Project.
