Summer Schedule | Ways to Register
This class will provide:
- 30 clock hours of classroom instruction
- Up to six hours behind-the-wheel driving instruction with a dual-brake car
- Up to six hours of observation with another student
Students must be at least 14 years old and have a current learner's permit.
This program and the instructor are licensed by the state of Kansas.
Driver Education For the Hearing Impaired
Summer Schedule | Ways to Register
This Driver Education course is offered for deaf and hard of hearing students who communicate through American Sign Language (ASL). This course helps students develop the knowledge, skill and attitude necessary to become safe, low-risk and responsible drivers.
The content of this course and the driving opportunities will be taught by a deaf instructor. An interpreter will be provided at the first class.
Students must be 14 years old and have a current learner's permit.
This program and the instructor are licensed by the state of Kansas.
Defensive Driving
Summer Schedule | Ways to Register
This course was created to teach better driving techniques through systematic, standardized training.
Students will learn driving skills and techniques to prevent accidents and view videos that illustrate defensive driving.
This course fulfills the requirement for insurance discounts for the state of Kansas.
Students must have a learner’s permit or driver’s license.
