Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Assessment (personality preferences)
You will receive an 18-page report with supplemental information and a one-hour interpretation session with a professional career counselor.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a popular personality preference assessment used by professional career counselors worldwide. The MBTI is a tool to support the counselor in relating how your personality preferences correlate with occupations and job satisfaction.
Strong (interests)
You will receive a 19-page report with supplemental information and a one-hour interpretation session with a professional career counselor.
The Newly Revised Strong Interest Inventory is a highly respected career planning instrument used by professional career counselors throughout the world. The SII identifies your interests based on the Holland Occupational Themes. The assessment reports your interest theme code, basic interest areas, as well as assesses your likes and dislikes with individuals in 110+ different occupations.
Cost
The cost of the MBTI is $84. The cost of the Strong is $69. The cost of taking both assessments is $145.
Scheduling an Assessment
The MBTI and SII are available online. If you do not have access to the Internet, the Community Career Services Resource Center, RC 142, is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Each assessment takes 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

Kuder® Career Search With Person Match
Time to complete: about 15-20 minutes. Scientifically align your top interests with career clusters. This assessment consists of 60 activity sets, each listing three activities. For each set, you will rank which activity you like to do first, second, and third. At the end you will see occupation titles that may allow you to use your interests.
Kuder® Skills Assessment
Time to complete: about 20-25 minute. What do you believe you're good at doing? In this assessment, you will rate your ability to do or learn to do 175 different work skills. When you are done, you will see a list of occupations in which you might use the higher rated skills.
Super’s Work Values Inventory-Revised
Time to complete: about 10-15 minutes. Learn what’s most important to you. In this assessment, you will rate how important each of 72 work-related values are to you. When you are done, you will see a list of occupations that may use those values most important to you.
