Event Spaces: Insurance Documentation

The organization requesting event rental space shall secure and maintain, throughout the duration of this rental agreement, insurance of such types and in at least the amounts as are required herein.

Higher insurance limits and/or additional coverages may be required depending on the nature of the lessee’s activities/facility use during the rental period.

The organization shall provide a certificate of insurance confirming the required insurance protection on a standard ACCORD form.

Johnson County Community College, its Board of Trustees, officers, agents and employees must be added as additional insured to the general liability and be so noted on the ACCORD form.

Required insurance coverages shall be with an insurer(s) acceptable to Johnson County Community College and at a minimum will meet the following requirements.

  • Commercial General Liability - $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate
  • Worker’s Compensation – statutory coverage
  • Employer’s Liability with a limit of: $500,000/$500,000/$500,000

Please note that the Certificate of Insurance must be on file in the scheduling office 30 days prior to the event.
