Healthcare Program

The region’s health professional community relies on JCCC Continuing Education for healthcare certifications and licensure and a broad range of lifelong learning opportunities to meet the present and future challenges of the healthcare industry.

JCCC's department of Health and Human Services (HHS) offers continuing education programs for most healthcare professionals. These courses include day and evening seminars, self-paced programs, computer-based instruction, independent study programs, online courses and contract training opportunities.

HHS continuing education programs are offered for nurses, social workers, counselors, psychologists, registered dietitians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, massage therapists, radiology technicians and nursing home administrators. These programs count toward licensing renewal and meet all licensing board requirements.

In addition, the HHS department provides a variety of classroom and online training for individuals seeking entry-level positions in healthcare-related fields. These include pharmacy technicians, phlebotomy technicians, ECG technicians and medical coding professionals, among others.
