Beth West

Head Athletic Trainer

Head Athletic Trainer Beth West joined the JCCC Athletic Training Department in August 2017. She oversees the athletic training for all seven sports at JCCC. In addition, West is a clinical site preceptor for Oklahoma State University Athletic Training Programs.

A native of Tulsa, Ok., West graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2009, and received her Masters of Science in Health and Human Performance from Pittsburg State University in 2015. West is currently working on a Doctorate of Athletic Training at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Az.  West is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Kansas Athletic Trainers' Society and Oklahoma Athletic Trainers Association. 

Prior to her arrival at JCCC she was an athletic trainer at Owasso High School for four years where she work with Football, Volleyball, Women’s Basketball, Track, Cross Country and Women’s Soccer.  She also spent four years at Independence Community College where was the Head Athletic Trainer.  During her time at ICC she helped build the athletic training education program and kinesiology program, while teaching multiple classes in both programs.  She also worked 6 years with Varsity Brands Cheerleading as an athletic trainer.  

West and her husband, Marcus, have a daughter, Brecken, 8.
