Career Pathways Advanced Standing Application

As part of Career Pathways, instructors from participating high schools and Johnson County Community College align their curricula so you can begin a career path in high school and earn advanced standing in a career program in college.

Advanced standing credit at JCCC is awarded for a passing grade in the specified course for each grading interval as indicated on the high school transcript for courses identified in articulation agreements in the designated career program.

Prior Learning Assessment

Students outside of the Career Pathways program area and reciprocal agreement programs have the option of pursuing Prior Learning Assessment for certain courses.  This program provides credit for knowledge acquired outside the traditional classroom.  Students who demonstrate and/or document previous learning may be able to earn college credit. There is a required fee.
