The Strong Interest Inventory (SII) is an assessment of interests that uses the theory of John Holland's personality types. The SII establishes a Holland Code, then provides an in-depth, personalized report on the individual's overall patterns of interests. Based on these interests, college majors and occupations are rated as being similar or dissimilar in interest. The report is divided into four primary sections:
- general occupational themes
- basic interest scales
- occupational scales
- personal style scales
$10 - assessment
$20 - Profile and interpretive report are included with the assessment.
A counselor from the Career Development Center or the Counseling Center must provide you with a referral for this assessment. The assessment is taken online. Your results are sent electronically to your referring counselor. Scheduling a follow-up assessment interpretation counseling session is required.
