Your Johnson County Community College admissions representatives are here to help introduce you to the college. If you are looking to get started at JCCC, Mysti, Casey and Melisa will be happy to assist you at off campus recruiting events or while you’re visiting campus.

Meet Casey Wallace

As the campus visit coordinator, I am responsible for planning campus visits at the college, along with organizing group and individual visits and tours. I supervise the JCCC Cav leaders and serve on several committees. You are welcome to come and visit me to discuss your future at JCCC. I will answer your general questions and introduce you to the processes on campus such as admission, financial aid, scholarships. If you have questions about programs and other opportunities, I can help direct you to the appropriate areas and contacts to make sure that your questions are all answered. 

You can contact me by phone or email with general questions. I encourage you to make an appointment with Mysti or myself if you will be visiting campus so that we can provide full attention to your questions and help you reach your goals.

I have worked in JCCC admissions for eight years. My bachelor of science degree is from Northwest Missouri State University in public administration which I received in 2003 . In 2007 I received my master’s of Science degree in higher education administration from the University of Kansas.

Meet Mysti Meiers

As a recruitment specialist, I oversee and organize off-campus recruitment and events. My territory is Johnson County and the surrounding counties in Kansas. I make bi-annual visits to my territory high schools in addition to attending various community and recruitment events in the Johnson County and Kansas City area. My audiences include students of all ages and I often assist them to begin the process in higher education on and off campus.

I am also involved in various campus mentoring programs to assist students with the transition into college. Often, this mentoring includes guidance into the workforce or transferring to other institutions for bachelor’s degrees or other programs.

I have worked at JCCC for five years. In 2003, I received a bachelor of art degree and a master's of science in 2004 from Pittsburg State University.

Meet Melisa Jimenez

As the diversity recruiter for JCCC I will visit with students of diverse backgrounds and assist them in their higher education choice. My territory is Western Kansas in addition to Wyandotte, Sedgwick, Lyon and Shawnee counties in Kansas. I make bi-annual visits to high schools and attend community and recruitment events throughout Kansas. I am fluent in English and Spanish so I would like to utilize my skills to serve this certain population to assist in the transition to college.

I will also be involved in both on campus and community organizations that provide support for current high school and college students, created with the multicultural student in mind.

This is my first year working at JCCC. In 2007 I received my bachelor of arts from the University of Kansas and recently graduated with my master’s of art from the University of St. Mary, Leavenworth.
