Meet Casey Wallace
As the campus visit coordinator, I am responsible for planning campus visits at the college, along with organizing group and individual visits and tours. I supervise the JCCC Cav leaders and serve on several committees. You are welcome to come and visit me to discuss your future at JCCC. I will answer your general questions and introduce you to the processes on campus such as admission, financial aid, scholarships. If you have questions about programs and other opportunities, I can help direct you to the appropriate areas and contacts to make sure that your questions are all answered.
You can contact me by phone or email with general questions. I encourage you to make an appointment with Melisa or myself if you will be visiting campus so that we can provide full attention to your questions and help you reach your goals.
I have worked in JCCC admissions for eight years. My bachelor of science degree is from Northwest Missouri State University in public administration which I received in 2003 . In 2007 I received my master’s of Science degree in higher education administration from the University of Kansas.
Meet Brandy Baze
As a recruiter, I will visit with prospective high school students, College Now, and Quick Step students about continuing their education and JCCC. My territory includes the Olathe, Blue Valley, Spring Hill and Gardner-Edgerton School Districts. Throughout the year I will attend local college fairs and visits high schools within my territory.
I will also be involved in multiple on campus and community organizations to provide support and additional resources for students in high school and at JCCC.
I began working at JCCC in March 2014. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas in 2009 in Kinesiology, P-12 Teaching Physical Education/Wellness & Leisure and received my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
Meet Erin Elmore
As a recruiter for JCCC I visit high schools in the Johnson County area and assist students in enrolling in the College Now and Quick Step programs, as well as enrolling at JCCC after graduation. My territory includes Bishop Miege High School, De Soto High School, Saint James Academy, Saint Thomas Aquinas High School and the Shawnee Mission School District. I look forward to getting to know the students and helping them achieve their academic goals.
I will be actively involved with on campus events and community organizations that provide support and additional resources for students pursing higher education.
I began working at JCCC in March 2014. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in journalism with an emphasis in strategic communication from the University of Kansas in 2013.
Meet Melisa Jimenez
As the recruitment coordinator for JCCC I will visit with students of diverse backgrounds and assist them in their higher education choice. My territory is Western Kansas in addition to Wyandotte, Sedgwick, Lyon and Shawnee counties in Kansas. I make bi-annual visits to high schools and attend community and recruitment events throughout Kansas. I am fluent in English and Spanish and use my skills to serve the Spanish speaking population to assist in the transition to college.
I will also be involved in both on campus and community organizations that provide support for current high school and college students, created with the multicultural student in mind.
I began working at JCCC in August 2012. In 2007 I received my bachelor of arts from the University of Kansas and recently graduated with my masters of art from the University of St. Mary, Leavenworth.
Meet Teresa Leland
As an adult student recruiter, I will visit with students looking to further their education and assist them with the admission process. I look forward to meeting with students and helping them get started in the right direction. You are welcome to contact me with questions throughout your time at JCCC.
I am involved with the Kansas City Collegiate Admissions Professionals (KCCAP) group and attend Educational Fairs at local businesses interested in promoting the importance of education to their employees. I also work closely with the selective admission and cooperative programs here at JCCC.
I have worked at JCCC since 2004 in both credit and continuing educational positions. I graduated from JCCC and then went on to complete my Organizational Management and Ethics degree from Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2010.
