Features of the Garden Plan
The first workshop took place in November 2006 and included professionals who created the original dry garden. Community members are welcome to assist us with our future plans and construction.
- A secluded space for peace and tranquility which can be used for lectures and special events
- Detention basins and dry stream/bio swales to capture stormwater from the roofs and hardscape to reduce runoff and replenish groundwater aquifers through percolation
- Trees, shrubs and ground cover characteristic of those in Japanese gardens in conjunction with native plants that advance the sustainable campus mission
