Art History
The Art History Department offers introductory courses in the history of the visual arts of Western Europe, Asia and the United States. Students will examine the aesthetic elements which mark the styles of major movements in two-dimensional, three-dimensional and architectural works. Although many of the department's courses are taught in a traditional setting, online courses and foreign study programs are also available.
JCCC offers non-credit travel opportunities to study the art and culture of Florence, Rome, Paris, and Barcelona every year over Spring Break. The 2013 trip will be to Italy's Tuscan countryside.
