Why did you choose JCCC? I have family in Kansas so I wanted to remain in state and my sister’s ESL teacher told me about JCCC. I was fascinated from the first moment, I feel very welcomed here and I’m grateful for the countless opportunities to expand myself that JCCC has given me.
What clubs or extracurricular activities are you involved in? I’m part of the International Club since 2015, I was part of the JCCC choir during my first semester here, the Outdoors Club, I’ve been a student senator, I studied abroad in China last fall, I’m a Spanish tutor on campus, and have been connected to volunteering opportunities at the Boys and Girls Club and participated in a sustainability project in Mexico last summer (Las Pintas Project).
What is your advice for future students? Get involved on campus and take advantage of the exceptional resources JCCC has to offer. JCCC offers many activities and opportunities to do well in school and to have a good time, it is up to the student to take advantage!
What is your favorite part of JCCC? The quantity and quality of resources on campus to guarantee student success and provide us with a great college experience. We have a very friendly atmosphere here and I love that!
