Why did you choose JCCC?

I chose JCCC because it is affordable. It is also a wonderful and enjoyable place where you can find the information you are looking for. I do enjoy the different events taking place around JCCC and how you can get involved with different clubs and orgs.

What clubs or extracurricular activities are you involved in?

I am a member of the International Club. I also joined Student Senate and completed the CLDP program. When I have free time, I come to the Latinos United Now and Always (LUNA) meetings. I want to try and be more involved this semester. I also try to engage in different events clubs organize around campus.

What is your advice for future students?

My advice would be to get to know more about the different events that go around campus, try to get involved. You can meet new people and have a good time by joining clubs & orgs, visiting the Student Lounge (video games, ping pong…), or if wanting to eat sweets at an affordable price, the bake sale at the HCA is the place to go. There is always something new to see. Take advantage of the resource centers around campus which are available for JCCC students. Working on campus is also a good option for international students.

What is your favorite part of JCCC?

One of my favorite buildings is the Arts & Tech Building (ATB). I enjoy going there and looking at all the artwork made by students. Another building I like is the gym, where I go to work out and can enjoy free weight training classes. Galileo’s Pavilion(GP) is a good place for when I want to relax and feel closer to nature because of the green walls it has.
