Why did you choose JCCC?
I had chosen JCCC to study English when I recently moved from Mexico. By that point, I did not know whether I wanted to study a career here. Eventually JCCC gave me one of the best academic experiences I’ve ever had in my life as a foreign student. I found JCCC as an affordable, prestigious, and great opportunity to start over my career.
What clubs or extracurricular activities are you involved in?
I am part of the officers of L.U.N.A. (Latinos United Now and Forever). I really enjoy it because it allows me to develop leadership skills, get to know other students and help out each other. Also, I have been part of the International Club. This club gave me the opportunity to get to know many friends from all over the world. I have been enjoying hanging out and learning about different backgrounds with these amazing people. They made me feel at home.
What is your advice for future students?
My advice for future students would be to make the most of their time and enjoy and use all resources that JCCC has to offer. There are many things that JCCC provides in order to make us successful students.
What is your favorite part of JCCC?
My favorite part of JCCC would be the engagement and the spirit of the community by all those people who have gone through JCCC.
