High School, GED and College Transcript Requirements

High School or GED Transcript

If you are applying for financial aid or scholarships, your transcript must be received by the following deadlines to ensure financial aid is in place by the payment deadline.

  • Spring - November 1
  • Summer - May 1
  • Fall - July 1

If you are a JCCC athlete your transcript will be due before you are eligible to participate in athletic competition.

College Transcript

If you intend to enroll in a course at JCCC that has a prerequisite which you have successfully completed at another college, your transcript must be received and evaluated before you may enroll in the course. Allow four weeks from the receipt of the transcript for the evaluation. Enrollment dates are listed on the academic calendar.

If you are a JCCC athlete, your transcript will be due before you are eligible to participate in athletic competition.

Financial aid applicants need to have transcripts received by the following deadlines to ensure financial aid is in place by the payment deadline. Note, if you are applying for federal financial aid, official transcripts from any college or university attended are required and any hours transferred may affect your current or future eligibility to receive federal financial aid. Refer to financial aid for transferring students.

  • Spring - November 1
  • Summer - May 1
  • Fall - July 1

All required transcripts, with final grades posted, must be received in the admissions office by the following deadlines, or a hold will be placed on your account that will prevent future registration.

  • Spring - April 1
  • Summer - October 1
  • Fall - October 1

Refer to transcript evaluation requirements to understand how the transcripts are evaluated and used to determine your GPA.

Official Transcript Submission

Transcripts must be mailed directly from the issuing institution.

Institutions should mail transcripts to:

  • Hand-carried copies or faxes are not accepted as official.
  • If you've attended multiple institutions, official transcripts are required from all previous institutions.
  • JCCC also accepts transcripts sent electronically from the issuing institution. If an email address is required, be sure they are sent to jcccadmissions@jccc.edu. Transcripts emailed to other accounts and forwarded to us are not accepted.
