How to use the Student Success Center

The Student Success Center is in the building called the Student Center, on the second floor.

Ask all your enrollment and college-related questions in the Student Success Center and you will be directed to the person who can help answer your questions.

You can find these resources in the Student Success Center

New student orientation
Attend a live presentation or watch an online session to gain essential information for help with placement exams, navigating your MyJCCC account, activating your student email, course scheduling, tuition payments and financial services.

Counselors
Counselors are available by appointment, walk-in, email or IM. They are dedicated to your academic success. Together you will create an educational plan to match your career goals. You can discuss with them classes and grades as well as how to transfer to another college or university. Plus, you can talk to them about any personal, financial or educational barriers you have.

Success Advocates
JCCC Success Advocates will chart your educational journey at JCCC. Success advocates are your problem-solvers and your human GPS. They will share tips for success, help you finish enrollment, explain College policies, procedures and deadlines, and match you with activities and interests across campus. They will help you chart your PATHWAY through JCCC.

Access Services
If you have a disability and need accommodations, this is where you can start.

Career Development Center
The Career Development Center is where you can find trained staff to help you improve skills for your college major and assist you with the job search process through job listings, internship assistance, mock interviews, resume critiques and more.

Financial Aid
Financial aid is monetary assistance for the cost of college from a source other than yourself or your family. Scholarships, grants, loans and the Federal Work-Study Program can help defray the cost of your tuition and books.

Student Transcripts and Registration Lab
Student Transcripts and Registration is where you can find help adding, dropping or reinstating classes. You can also apply for graduation, change your major or submit a course overload or pass/fail request or obtain a transcript.
