Eligibility for Degree and Non-Degree Admission
Admissions Eligibility for Degree-Seeking Students
To be eligible for admission as a degree-seeking student at Johnson County Community College, you should meet one of the following requirements:
- Be a graduate of an accredited high school or a recipient of a general educational development (GED) diploma; or
- Be 18 years of age or older and
- not be a graduate of a state-accredited high school and
- have been determined by JCCC, after evaluating your educational credentials, to be able to benefit from the courses in which you wish to enroll.
Admissions Eligibility for Non-Degree-Seeking Students
To be eligible for admission as a non-degree-seeking student at Johnson County Community College, you should meet one of the following requirements:
- Be a graduate of an accredited high school or a recipient of a general educational development (GED) diploma; or
- Be 18 years of age or older and
- not be a graduate of a state-accredited high school and
- have been determined by JCCC, after evaluating your educational credentials, to be able to benefit from the courses in which you wish to enroll; or
- Be 16 to 18 years of age and
- not be a graduate of a state-accredited high school and
- submit documentation from the high school you should be attending stating that you have been released from attendance and
- have been determined by JCCC, after evaluating your educational credentials, to be able to benefit from the courses in which you wish to enroll.
