How to Apply - Fire Science Academy
The Fire Science has departmental specific requirements for admission.
To be considered for admission to the Fire Academy course, you must complete the following steps:
- Successfully pass the Fire Service Entrance Examination (FSEE) with a 70% or better (schedule a test- 913-469-2388).
- Submit the Fire Academy Admission Application (DOCX) along with supporting documents (resume/letters of reference) via email or USPS to Nancy Thomas by July 1 for fall classes or by December 1 for spring classes.

Applicants who meet all the requirements listed above will be contacted for an interview. The interviews will be conducted after the application deadline has passed. The top 24 applicants will be contacted prior to the beginning of the semester and instructed in enrollment procedures.
