Mandatory Training
Orientations
Required orientation training is scheduled to accommodate the varied work schedules of faculty and staff. Enter "orientation" as a keyword search to see the training schedule on the Staff Development Open/Closed Class List.
New Staff Orientation must be completed by all new employees within 90 calendar days of their hire date.
New Supervisor Orientation must be completed by all new supervisors within 90 calendar days of assuming supervisory responsibilities.
As a prerequisite to serving on a campus hiring committee, an employee will be required to have completed a hiring committee orientation at least once within 12 months prior to the hiring committee assignment.
Failure to complete the hiring committee orientation as required by this policy will disqualify the individual from participating on the hiring committee assignment.
Compliance Training
Preventing Harassment in the Workplace and on Campus
JCCC has a longstanding commitment to maintain a work and education environment that is positive and free of harassment. Preventing Harassment in the Workplace and on Campus Training must be completed by all new employees within 90 calendar days of their hire date.
All JCCC employees are required to complete the JCCC Preventing Harassment in the Workplace and on Campus Training program every fiscal year, as part of the college's mandatory training policy. Failure to complete training required under this policy is just cause for progressive discipline.
All employees may access the program online, 24/7, from any computer with an Internet connection.
A job aid with instructions can be found on the Employee Training and Technical Support site on InfoShare. When prompted to log in to InfoShare, enter your full JCCC employee email address and network/email password.
Information Security & Campus Safety Awareness
JCCC takes information security very seriously and continually takes steps to improve the security of sensitive information on campus and adhere to federal laws such as FERPA, the BLG Act, PCI and HIPAA.
Information Security & Campus Safety Awareness must be completed by all new employees within 90 calendar days of their hire date.
All JCCC employees are required to complete the Information Security & Campus Safety Awareness program every fiscal year, as part of the college's mandatory training policy. Failure to complete training required under this policy is just cause for progressive discipline.
The training program is available to all employees online, 24/7.

Lab Time for Completing Online Training
An open lab time is scheduled for the first Friday of each month, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., in LIB 371, for completing JCCC online mandatory compliance training (Preventing Harassment in the Workplace and on Campus and Information Security & Campus Safety Awareness).
This time is sponsored by Staff Development for those without access to a computer or who need a quiet place to complete the training. Please allow a minimum of 45 minutes to review the material and take the mastery test for each program.
