Railroad Training Programs

At NARS you can learn the skills to become a highly qualified and technically trained conductor, locomotive electrician, machinist, signalman, freight car repairman and welder.


The National Academy of Railroad Sciences (NARS) was established in 1988 as a partnership between JCCC and BNSF Railway. We provide training to aspiring railroad workers as well as those already employed in the industry.

Selective admission: You must meet certain criteria in order to apply for any of the railroad programs.
