Apply your military skills to a career in the trucking industry.

Commercial trucking is a high-demand and fast-growing industry that offers flexibility, good pay and numerous employment opportunities. Professional truck drivers can earn up to $70,000 in their first year of driving. If you're a veteran interested in earning your CDL-A, Johnson County Community College has a limited number of full-tuition scholarships available through a Commercial Motor Vehicle Operator Safety Training (CMVOST) grant.

Our 10-week professional truck driving program is taught by experienced truck drivers and trainers — some of whom are also veterans. They understand how your past experiences, skills and training can work to your advantage in the evolving trucking industry.
