NATEF and ASE Accreditation

This degree concentrates on theoretical and hands-on work in diagnosis and tune-up, chassis, electrical/electronic and hydraulic systems, automatic transmissions, engines and emissions. The two-year associate of applied science degree is accredited by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF). NATEF evaluates technician training programs to ensure they meet standards developed by the automotive industry.

NATEF is part of the ASE Alliance. The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence offers certification tests for technicians.

Upon completion of the AAS degree, graduates will be prepared to take the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification tests. We encourage students to take and pass the (ASE) certification tests.
