Explore the political and cultural landscapes of Great Britain:

  • Visit iconic sites, including Windsor Castle, the London Eye, Abbey Road, Parliament, Loch Ness, King Arthurs’s Seat and Stonehenge.
  • Link these site visits to tensions between globalization and nationalism.
  • Compare United Kingdom institutions to those in the United States.
  • Analyze how cultural landscape markers reflect changing values.

Program Cost

The total cost of the program is $2,750.

Cost includes:

  • Round-trip international airfare: Kansas City – London; Edinburgh – Kansas City
  • Two to three pre-departure meetings for orientation and background
  • Ground transportation throughout the UK
  • Daily continental breakfast and some dinners
  • Admission fees to group tour sites
  • Travel accident insurance

Not included:

  • Passport fee if you don’t already have one
  • Lunches and some dinners
  • Tuition for GIST 101 (1 credit hour)
  • Personal spending
  • Personal transportation
