The following information comes from the named instructor and should describe characteristics general to courses as taught by this instructor. Individual sections of specific courses will deviate from this description in some respects.

Resource Use

Book: Extensive
Calculator: Extensive
Software: Limited

While one is not required, a graphing calculator is strongly recommended for courses to grasp some concepts. Additional examples will be shown using outside software, but will not be a part of course grade.

Three-seven unit exams, dependent on course objectives, final exam; exam average counts as 70% of final grade.

Homework Policy

Assigned regularly, collected and graded with advance notice.

Attendance Policy

If a student is present for 95% of class sessions, their lowest unit exam score will be replaced by their next highest unit exam score (second lowest).

Easiest way to contact would be by email. Other arrangements would have to be by appointment only.

Additional Information

Time permitting, questions from previous homework will be addressed at the beginning of the following class session. However, for the sake of progress, we will not be able to discuss every question.
