Teaching style
Lecture (basically for grammar points), student class notes are necessary, group and paired activities during class only, the quantity of target language used in class increases as we advance in the semester, questions welcome.

Homework, participation and attendance
Class participation and attendance 30%, Special project (oral presentation) 10%.

Tests and quizzes

  • Written and oral quizzes on vocabulary and grammar topics - 20%
  • Mid term (oral) - 20%
  • Final (oral) - 20%

Evaluations can be made up only if there is a valid excuse. 

Background and other interests
I am originally from Lima, Peru, and I have been in the in the U.S. for seven years.  I have visited Chile, Brazil, Spain, Italy and France. Besides teaching, Latin music and dancing are my passion.
