None required, but available with the text for a fee and some students may find this helpful.

The student's grade is based on….A weighted average of 60% exams, 30% work sheets/problems, 10% a short analysis paper.

Homework Policy

Homework consists mainly of worksheets/problems and must be returned on due date in class.  Students are allowed to miss some work as 10% of their lowest assignments are dropped as is their lowest exam score.

Attendance Policy

Actual attendance is not taken after the first 2 weeks; however, students are only allowed to turn homework in during class time on the date assigned.

I have office hours that are listed on my syllabus and vary each semester depending on my class schedule.  Hours are scheduled to coincide with convenient times for students. Students can also schedule appointments outside of office hours in advance.

Additional Information

I appreciate that most community college students are trying to balance school with work, family and other obligations, just as I did when working on my undergraduate degree.  I am willing to work with students, yet very regular attendance is required to be successful in my classes. Students can expect a dedicated, passionate instructor to be ready to challenge their analytical critical thinking skills in a friendly and fun environment.
