Teaching style
Teaching modalities include: short instructor explanations/modeling with partner and group activities. The instructor uses as much Spanish as possible (approx. 95%) and encourages students to do the same.

  • Unit Exams (3-6) - 15%

Tests and quizzes
Make-ups will be considered only for emergencies physically preventing students from attending (e.g., medical). Social, family and legal obligations, or car trouble are generally not valid reasons.

Background and other interests
I learned my accent from studying in Mexico (Mexico City and Querétaro), and have traveled to Nicaragua and Spain. I am a Ph. D. student focused on colonial Latin America.
