Ali Abderrezak

The following information comes from Dr. Ali Abderrezak and should describe characteristics general to courses as taught by this instructor. Individual sections of specific courses will deviate from this description in some respects.

Class Format

This is an online class.  Although no “Face-to-Face” sessions are scheduled, class participation, through Discussions and applied quizzes, is critical to student success.  Homework assignments in the form of Quizzes and exams using Desire2Learn (D2L) are very essential.

Resource Use

Textbook: Extensive Use

Calculator: Limited use

The student's grade is based on a variety of assignments.  You will have online homework (Quizzes) to do on your own. You will also have 14 exams (the number of exams may change), and seven (07) Discussion topics.  A Midterm and Final exams are also scheduled in each class.

Homework Policy

Homework is essential to passing this class.

Attendance Policy

This is an online class, and students must engage in the first two weeks or they will be dropped by JCCC for “non-attendance.” After the first two weeks, students must engage in course content weekly; however, if a student chooses to stop “attending” the on-line class, then it is the student’s responsibility to drop the course. It is the Economics Department policy to not utilize the faculty withdraw option, so if you stop attending the class, make sure you drop it by the posted deadline date for withdraw.

I have office hours Monday through Thursday.  Students are encouraged to get in touch with me if they have questions regarding this class.
