What will I learn?

You’ll get a global overview of physics, chemistry, astronomy and geoscience and how these science fields interact and overlap. You’ll also meet your science and laboratory requirements for most associate degree or certification programs at JCCC.

JCCC’s Physical Sciences (PSCI 120) class was designed with nonscience majors in mind. This is the right science class for you if:

  • You aren’t sure which science class would interest you
  • You haven’t taken math beyond high school algebra
  • You need to satisfy the general education requirement for science with lab

If you’re enrolled in at least one science class, you can get academic help, including access to textbooks and models, at JCCC’s Science Resource Center. Free tutoring is available Monday through Thursday.

Can I get a job?

PSCI 120 is a KBOR Seamless Transfer class, which means it will automatically transfer to any Kansas Board of Regents public institution that offers a comparable class.

What does it cost?

Money matters. JCCC is working hard to make tuition affordable for you.

Supplies and textbook costs vary depending on your classes.
