Humanities

The Humanities Department offers introductory courses in the arts of the world studied from both historical and formal perspectives.

There are intermediate courses on specific humanistic themes, such as classical and world mythology; and Islamic, Japanese, and Russian cultures. Although most courses are taught in a traditional classroom setting, the department also offers online courses and foreign study programs.
