Anthropology

Our department currently offers 14 courses including introductory and specialized courses preparatory to the major.

A strength of the department is our emphasis on applied anthropology. Many of our faculty members are actively engaged in community-based participatory research and community-based archaeology. As a result of faculty research, course content reflects the latest developments in the rapidly changing field of anthropology. Many courses offer students the opportunity for service-learning and to participate in faculty-supervised research.
