Midwest Archaeological Field School Eligibility
The field school is open to students from all academic disciplines; students enrolled at JCCC and elsewhere are eligible to apply. Students who have successfully completed introductory courses in Anthropology and Archaeology may be given preference. Due to the nature of archaeological fieldwork, all students must be in excellent physical health.
During the 2017 season the Midwest Archaeological Field School will be conducted on lands supervised by the Army Corps of Engineers and with materials that are culturally sensitive. Therefore, all participants, from directors to students, must comport themselves in a professional manner. Failure to do so will result in immediate expulsion from the project.
Applications can be downloaded from the department website and are now being accepted. Applications for the summer 2017 field season are due April 14, 2017.
