Whether you’re looking to fulfill a science credit for your degree, or you’re hoping to work in a scientific field in the future, JCCC’s Physical Science program can be ideal for many students and their future objectives.

What Will I Learn in JCCC’s Physical Science Program?

The Physical Science program at JCCC gives students the opportunity to learn and understand general scientific principles and areas of study. You’ll receive a global overview of physics, chemistry, astronomy, and geoscience, as well as how these science fields interact and overlap.  Investigate specific methods of scientific inquiry and gain the knowledge you need to go into your future science career with confidence!

You’ll also meet your science and laboratory requirements for most associate degrees or certification programs at JCCC. If you’re thinking about transferring to another college or university afterward, physical science acts as a great prerequisite for professional industries such as agriculture, engineering, medicine, nursing, and several health occupations.

Why JCCC for Physical Science Courses?

  • You aren’t sure which science discipline would interest you
  • You haven’t taken math beyond high school algebra
  • You need to satisfy the general education requirement for science with lab

If you’re enrolled in at least one science class, you can get academic help, including access to textbooks and models, at JCCC’s Science Resource Center.
