Instructors have provided the following information to generally describe what to expect in their classes.

Math

Class Format

Face-to-face sections use a hybrid of the flipped classroom strategy. Generally, material is presented during the first half and then we will work homework together during the second half. Students are encouraged to participate.

Resource Use

Textbooks are generally required. In Math 111, 115, 130 and 171 a physical copy is optional.

Calculators  are required for all classes. For a scientific calculator I recommend the TI-34 Multiview. If the class is more advanced (College Algebra and beyond), any version of the TI-84 is required.

Computer software whenever needed, will be available for student use in the Math Resource Center.

Online homework - None

Assessment

In-class quizzes will be held either every week or every other week. Each course will have 3-4 exams. A final exam and a midterm exam will be worth 20% each. The rest of the points will come from quizzes and homework if it is collected.

Homework Policy

Homework will be collected on test day. We will go over any questions over the previous days hw at the beginning of each class.

Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is expected but will not factor into your grade.
