Cyber Student Activities

Cyber Competitions

  • National Cyber League: Each semester, the National Cyber League hosts cyber competitions that include a regular season and postseason. The challenges map to the industry certifications CompTIA Security+ and EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker. Interested students can email Andrew Lutz.
  • CyberPatriot: If you are a high school student looking to get involved in cybersecurity, check out CyberPatriot. Talk with your instructors and see if your school already is involved, and if not, express your interest!

Other Activities

  • Cybersecurity Club- Through hands-on activities and group discussion the Cybersecurity Club will explore key concepts of defensive cybersecurity, penetration testing and ethical hacking. In a world where things are becoming more electronic, understanding these cybersecurity concepts and knowing how to properly defend and test key devices is paramount. We will use our time together to further our understanding of these important subjects.
  • ImmersiveLabs: A free, interactive lab environment that can provide practice to students in many cybersecurity areas.
  • SecKC: A local group with many guest speakers that address cybersecurity topics. Great for networking in the community!
