Four Business Office Technology students practice their computer, telephone and office management skills in Johnson County Community College’s simulated office lab.

What will I learn?

Earn a certificate to upgrade your current skills or become qualified for entry-level positions in business, legal or medical offices in just one year. In two years, you could have an associate degree and a head start on the competition or a bachelor’s degree, or a promotion in your current job.

Our customized curriculum provides you tools for a successful career. You will learn how to:

  • Use office and desktop publishing software
  • Prepare business and legal documents
  • Maintain electronic health records
  • Write grammatically correct documents and proofread them
