A native of San Francisco, Christopher Peters maintains an active career as a pianist and music educator. During his time in the Bay Area, Chris maintained a healthy studio of over 30 students and taught several courses in keyboard skills as well as private lessons at San Francisco State University’s School of Music.
As a pianist, Chris is currently pursuing his D.M.A. in piano performance at UMKC’s Conservatory of Music, where he serves as a graduate teaching assistant. Chris also holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in piano performance from San Francisco State University. Chris has received master classes from several world class artists such as Joyce Yang, the ZOFO Duet, Dmitry Rachmanov, Roger Woodward, Richard Angeletti and the Alexander String Quartet.
