  • CE improved external partnership planning to make it more focused and purposeful. The old process assigned individuals to various chambers of commerce and professional organizations. The new process begins with the CE team identifying and prioritizing a comprehensive list of potential partners in the community. From that list, an external partnership plan is developed that identifies the partnerships to be pursued, the resources to be allocated toward each partnership, and objectives for the partnership, which can include membership on a Board of Directors, sponsoring key events, or College staff attending the chamber’s leadership program.
  • Through the systems portfolio process, the College has identified the need to better define and pursue collaborations and partnerships in the surrounding community.  Although the College maintains a strong relationship with the community and external survey data from the community indicates high levels of approval, the College needs to be more deliberative and proactive in pursuit of partnerships.
