Facilities Master Plan
The college is known for its beautiful, well-maintained campus. As instructional methodologies have changed, in 2015 college leadership determined that the time was right to engage in a comprehensive facilities master plan.
Facilities master plans help institutions address ways in which the physical campus can best support the academic mission, including:
- What future community and work force needs are anticipated, and how may repurposed facilities or new construction best meet these needs?
- Are there opportunities to use available space more efficiently and align space with future educational delivery methods?
- How do campus design and service locations contribute to student success?
In September 2015, the college accepted proposals from firms in response to a request for proposal (RFP) for facilities master planning services. Following an evaluation and recommendation, the Board of Trustees approved the SmithGroup JJR, working in partnership with Paulien & Associates.
